We’ll be honest, team — our campaign’s cash on hand is not where it needs to be.
That puts us in a tough spot. Having plenty of cash on hand ensures we can invest in a strong organizing infrastructure and put it back into our local communities in Minnesota.
This work is deeply important to Ilhan and our campaign — and the hard truth is that we can’t continue at the pace we’re going if our cash on hand keeps dwindling.
That’s why we must meet our $100,000 end-of-month goal before midnight tonight — but that won’t happen without a surge of grassroots support.
If you’re able, will you chip in for the first time with $5 or whatever you can right now to help meet our goal and power our work for the people?
Last election cycle, our cash on hand helped us support folks during the pandemic through food and supply drives and build an organizing team that helped deliver victories not only for Joe Biden in Minnesota but for progressive candidates up and down the ballot.
Our work to lift up our communities and build local progressive power hasn’t stopped either. After the tragic murder of Daunte Wright by the police, we visited hundreds of neighbors in Brooklyn Center and delivered groceries and supplies to those in need. We’re also ramping up our canvassing work to lay the groundwork to elect more Medicare for All candidates in local elections.
But this kind of work depends on resources we simply won’t have if we don’t see a dramatic increase in our fundraising numbers, and fast.
So we’re asking one more time: Please chip in $5 before midnight tonight so we can reach our crucial $100,000 end-of-month goal and continue our work for progress.
Thanks for all you do for our movement,
Team Ilhan
