That’s a wrap on the 2021 legislative session! We went into session knowing full well that lawmakers' capacity was limited as they confronted the challenges of the coronavirus and economic crises, all in a virtual setting. Nevertheless, with your help, we were able to make amazing progress in the fight to prevent gun violence!

* 2021 Legislative Wins

Not only did we defend crucial funding for the Office of Firearm Safety and Violence Prevention, we also passed TEN bills to keep our communities safe.

* Federal Action

President Biden announced six decisive actions—including prohibiting ghost guns and investing in community violence interventions—which hopefully marks the start of a new era of national gun violence prevention.

* Derek Chauvin: Guilty

A jury found Chauvin guilty of all charges in the death of George Floyd. Although this verdict is welcome, it alone is not justice and it does not bring George Floyd back.
