I wanted to circle back before tonight’s budget deadline. Before we dive into why tonight is important, a quick update about what I have been up to behind the scenes with Groundwork:
*
Having
conversations
with
organizers,
operatives,
and
activists
about
the
challenges
we
are
facing
as
a
party
and
looking
to
examples
of
programs
that
could
be
scaled
to
meet
them.
*
Utilizing
my
platform
to
host
virtual
events
with
activists
and
organizations
making
an
impact
nationwide.
*
Supporting
organizations
in
Massachusetts
that
are
building
sustained
power
in
communities
of
color
and
working-class
areas
statewide.
It’s clear that boom and bust campaigning isn’t getting the job done. GWP believes that dramatic investment in community organizing is the single best way to remedy injustice, build power in disenfranchised communities, and create a future that is inclusive, representative, and innovative.
Now, back to tonight. The resources I have in the door towards our Operational Fund will have a direct impact on:
*
Expanding
our
Groundwork
team
so
that
we
can
connect
with
more
organizations
and
activists
nationwide.
*
As
we
enter
the
next
phase
of
Groundwork’s
build
out,
how
many
states,
organizations,
and
policy
positions
we
can
include.
So, can I count on you? Here’s a personalized link to give now:

More soon!
Joe
Groundwork Project was founded by Joe Kennedy III to support community organizers, advocates, and activists nationwide who are working year-round to build a just, free, and equitable future for all. For decades, the Democratic Party has under-resourced, under-valued, and under-recognized the importance of local political infrastructure and year-round grassroots organizing. This needs to change.
We're directing resources, attention, and support to the local advocates and state-based organizations doing the deep, long-term organizing that Democrats need to build a more diverse party, expand its base, win elections, and deliver progressive policy reforms. Contribute now. [[link removed]]
