John,
On Wednesday night, President Joe Biden shared his vision for an America "on the move" during his joint address to Congress.
But the President's proposals would only keep working families moving for so long before the same crises we face today cause another devastating collapse. That's why, in his official WFP response Wednesday night, Representative Jamaal Bowman laid out the case for something bigger:
"... We, as the governing party, have to go beyond putting a band-aid on the virus. We need to rebuild our nation with a new foundation. A foundation rooted in love, and care, and equality. Where justice is truly real for all of us, regardless of race, class, gender, orientation, or religion."
Big, transformative change is possible in this time of enormous upheaval โ but we need a movement powerful enough to continue demanding it. So will you make a contribution today to help us reach our April fundraising goal of 4,000 grassroots contributions? Our average donation this month is $18.28.

Yesterday, we celebrated the official introduction of The THRIVE Act in Congress. This recovery plan calls for bold government action to solve our biggest emergencies: joblessness, economic inequality, climate collapse, and racial injustice.
All the while, we continue to fight for every possible solution to meet the massive crises we face โ in addition to building progressive power at every level of government and out in the streets.
But all of this work requires enough resources, and we can't afford to fall short of tonight's goal. Rush a contribution toward our April fundraising goal of 4,000 contributions by midnight tonight and be a part of the multiracial movement of working people we're building together.
In solidarity,
All of us at WFP
