John,

The GOP and conservative media outlets know that misogynistic attacks against progressive women, especially women of color, are a driving force for their supporters.

When Stacey Abrams used her power to flip Georgia blue and unite Democrats nationwide, Republicans told their base that she was a “danger” to our country. Then, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp signed a massive voter suppression law to ensure Abrams couldn't defeat him in a 2022 gubernatorial run.

When Rep. Maxine Waters, the longest-serving Black woman in Congress, walked the streets with protesters in Minnesota to demand justice for George Floyd, the same Republicans who continue to protect extremists like Marjorie Taylor Greene moved to censure Waters for her “violent rhetoric.”

When Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez used her platform to share her harrowing experience during the January 6 riot, when she thought she was going to die, Republicans who peddled in the Big Lie accused her of making everything up.

There's no shortage of examples of Republicans tearing down women who dare to advocate for change, John. And their smear tactics work cycle after cycle, but we're ready to do something about it.

We launched our Elect Bold Women Fund earlier this month to support Abrams and women leaders like her, leaders who are fighting for change but don't have the resources to stand against the GOP's dark money machine.

Our team has been inspired by the support we've received from people like you -- it's only further proof that we're moving towards an equitable future. Our momentum is picking up, but we can't afford any setbacks -- and we're $1,093 short of our end of month goal.

Thanks to you, we'll fund progressive women's campaigns, help them reach voters, and meet the Republicans' dirty voter suppression tactics with grassroots activism through the cycle.

We can't thank you enough for supporting us every step of the way.
