It’s been obvious from their actions, their policies, and their failures. But now Gov. Abbott has said it out loud:
Texas Republicans hate government, hate Democracy, and most of all, hate being accountable to the people of Texas. Yes, he really said this.
This explains everything Texas Republicans have done: Costing tens of thousands of lives during the pandemic, neglecting us during a catastrophic winter storm and it’s recovery, and now, launching an all-out assault on our right to vote — so we can’t hold them accountable.
We can’t allow this radical philosophy to continue doing real harm to the people of Texas.

Work with candidates to deploy research-tested best practices that ensure they are reaching and mobilizing as many voters as possible to overcome GOP efforts to limit the vote.
Run unapologetic, hard-hitting ads and social media campaigns that ensure Texans don’t forget the harm that Republicans have done.
If enough of us get behind it, we can succeed, even as Republicans in Texas continue to hijack our Democracy.
