We made a major structural commitment at the start of this year, and now we need to follow through.
In our 2021-2022 strategic plan, we announced we'd be expanding our funding capacity for candidates --
to get them the early grassroots investments that will transform their small campaigns from scrappy to dynamic.
Today, we're turning our plan into action:
Run for Something Ascend is targeting 25-30 progressive campaigns in Texas, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.

Since 2017, Run for Something has elected 500 diverse, young progressives to elected office. (We just hit 500 this week with Marché Johnson in Montgomery, Alabama!)
We're very proud, but we're sure as hell not satisfied. With state and local Republican electeds reminding us (on a near-daily basis) of the urgent need to take back down-ballot offices, we think now is the
perfect time to put our money where our mouth is.
