Hey team -- We needed you to see this. Slate just released bombshell leaked audio from a panel hosted by map manipulation experts at a recent ALEC conference filled with conservative legislators.

Map manipulators are already gearing up for 2021. We need to respond when news like this breaks. Make a donation to fuel the movement for fair maps.

The recordings are deeply troubling, friend. The panel coaches state legislators on how to turn the redistricting process into an elaborate play where the legislators are the actors and the judges are the audience, saying:

"I know what I want the play to look like for the judges when we actually have to go and defend what we've done in court, and so this is why you want to make it look like...you're very cordial, cooperative with the minority party or the opposing party. ... The more you take the high road in the legislative process, the better it's going to look in court when you have to defend what you've done."

While ALEC is training legislators behind closed doors on how to gerrymander, All On The Line is training volunteers and activists to hold those self-serving politicians accountable.

Show your support for fair maps and a transparent redistricting process with a donation today!

The leaked audio proves ALEC is committed to map manipulation. Here's what else the panel told legislators to do during the redistricting process:
-- destroy evidence that could be discovered through litigation
-- pack minorities voters together in districts to make the rest of the maps more white and more conservative
-- befriend judges and officials who will be involved in court cases that challenge manipulated maps

We believe maps should reflect the communities they represent, not cater to political advantages of incumbent elected officials. This is outrageous behavior by map manipulators -- they're counting on us to turn a blind eye, but we're going to hold them accountable. I believe they won't get away with these schemes this time around. If you agree, send a rush donation to All On The Line's grassroots response fund.
