John,
The Trump Administration's cruel decision to slash the number of refugees allowed to come to our country to just 18,000 next year is a shameful abdication of our nation's core values.
After our nation made the horrific mistake of turning our back on Jewish refugees during the Holocaust, we vowed not to fail this moral challenge again. Since then, the United States has been a leader in providing safe haven for refugees from around the world.
But President Trump has declared a record low limit on the number of refugees who can come to our country.
With this decision, President Trump is betraying our American values and punishing innocent, vulnerable people and families who are fleeing violence and despair. Add your name to stand with me and oppose this inhumane decision.

Before the Trump Administration, the U.S. welcomed upwards of 80,000 refugees every year under Presidents of both parties. But President Trump has repeatedly slashed that number to historic lows.
This latest decision--limiting the number of refugees to 18,000 for the year--is a new and shameful low.
We must speak out against President Trump's cruel decision to drastically limit the number of refugees admitted to the U.S. Sign on now.
