Wow -- what a week. We got our FIRST Republican opponent, and we learned Colorado is gaining its first new House district in 20 years. And tonight, we're facing a major fundraising deadline.

The redistricting process is just getting started, and we know our district is about to change. That means a whole new set of voters to meet, and we know that national Republicans will use that to their advantage. They will do everything they can to flip seats -- including ours -- and take back the House majority.

With Republican challengers preparing to run and redistricting on the horizon, we need to be proactive and build a budget that can withstand whatever comes our way.

The more we raise now, the more time we can spend laying the groundwork for another successful campaign. If we fall behind, we'll have to make tough decisions about how we spend our time and money -- and I want to make sure that doesn't happen.
