1. NC VALUES: Pray for True Conservative Leaders in NC

During this legislative session, NC Values Coalition has been at the forefront of legislation that protects Life, Religious Liberty, and Family Values. It's been our honor to work with leaders such as the "Save Women's Sports" bill sponsors Representatives Mark Brody, Pat McElraft, Jimmy Dixon and Diane Wheatley. These legislators bravely worked to protect women and girls in our state from unfair competition in sports. Please join us in thanking them for their courage and true leadership on issues like this that are difficult and often face media blackout.

Today, the Speaker of the House, Rep. Tim Moore, announced to the press that he has killed the Save Women’s Sports bill—House Bill 358. This bill would prohibit biological males who identify as female from participating on girls’ and women’s sports teams in middle school, high school, and college. More than three-fourths of North Carolinians agree that allowing biological males to compete in women’s sports is unfair. Although we were the 30th out of 32 states to file similar legislation, our leadership still seems to think that no problem truly exists.

Girls deserve equal opportunities to experience the thrill of victory. Allowing males to compete in girls’ sports disadvantages girls and destroys their athletic opportunity. <[link removed]>

3. CAROLINA JOURNAL: Cooper in letter urges businesses to speak out against election laws

"Gov. Roy Cooper is leading a nationwide effort in cooperation with Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer to encourage business leaders to publicly oppose states that pass election-reform laws."

"N.C. Republican lawmakers and good-government advocates were quick to denounce the step by Cooper.

'Bullying businesses to oppose policies like voter ID, which North Carolinians amended their constitution to require, is wrong,' said Sen. Warren Daniel, R-Avery. 'Politicizing everything in society is divisive and the governor should be ashamed of himself.'” <[link removed]>

4. DAILY WIRE: Biden Moves To Force Doctors To Perform Transgender Surgeries Against Objections

"President Joe Biden on Tuesday filed an appeal seeking to force doctors and hospitals to perform potentially harmful transgender-related procedures and surgeries even if they hold objections.

As outlined by BECKET Law’s Luke Goodrich, a court in January struck down the administration’s move to punish doctors who don’t perform transgender-related procedures for supposed “sex discrimination.” Biden on Tuesday officially appealed the ruling."

5. ABC 11: Apple unveils $1B investment to build east coast hub in Research Triangle create at least 3000 jobs

"Apple unveiled plans to build a campus and engineering hub in the Research Triangle, committing more than $1 billion in investments and creating at least 3,000 new jobs for the area.”

In Apple effect is already making itself felt in North Carolina politics, as evident in Governor Roy Cooper’s response to the news <[link removed]>:

“As Apple CEO Tim Cook told me on Saturday with this announcement, Apple is showing that they're just not creating jobs and building a new campus. They want to be a committed partner with our state for the long term. I told him that we look forward to that partnership. He also said diversity and inclusion was critical and that the repeal of HB two and the sunset of HB 142 was important in their decision” (Gov. Roy Cooper)
