=============================

John, I'm sending along our invitation from earlier this week in case you missed it. This Monday's virtual panel on Fighting Corporate Power with Deeper Democracy will feature a dynamite line-up of speakers — hope to see you there! [[link removed]]

Warmly,
Felicia

-----------------------------

Dear John,

As we continue the fight for policies that care for our communities, we must root out the corporate interests that shape our government and build a multi-racial, feminist democracy that truly includes us all and keeps us all safe. The Partnership believes that the smartest person in the room is the collective, so we are convening an exciting conversation [[link removed]] about how we do this work together, and we want you there with us.

Join the Partnership for Working Families on Monday, May 3 at 3 pm EST/12 pm PST for a virtual panel discussion on Fighting Corporate Power with Deeper Democracy [[link removed]] . In this conversation with powerhouse thought leaders and organizers, we will discuss how corporations keep democracy out of reach for our communities and how participatory processes can build on current organizing practices to center our communities’ needs and build their power for the long term.

Our distinguished speakers are:

* Dr. Nancy MacLean, Distinguished Professor of History and Public Policy, Duke University

* Odessa Kelly, Executive Director of Stand Up Nashville

* Dr. Kyra Greene, Executive Director of the Center on Policy Initiatives

* Lauren Jacobs, Executive Director of the Partnership for Working Families

We’ll also explore two new reports the Partnership recently released: one that details the backroom corporate dealings [[link removed]] that keep our communities living on the bare minimum, and another that explores deeper, more inclusive democratic processes [[link removed]] to build power in our communities and counter the corporate and white supremacist agenda.

We hope you’ll join us! Please register here [[link removed]] to receive the zoom link.

In the meantime, please take care of yourselves, your families, your friends and your communities.

In solidarity,

Felicia Griffin
Deputy Director
