You might be wondering why it is important to give to a state party in April. I get it. Most folks aren’t thinking about elections right now.

But here at the Maine Dems, we are laser focused on the 700+ local elections happening in the next two months, preparing for the November 2021 election, and laying the groundwork for electoral victory in 2022 and beyond. Right now, we are helping to train grassroots volunteers, support candidates, build our base, and promote our values. This infrastructure work that we are doing now is what shows up on the ballot come Election Day.

We’re coming up on our month-end deadline - hitting our monthly goals makes it possible for us to do the groundwork to get Dems elected across Maine. The next statewide election might seem a long way away, but the best way to win in 2022 is to invest in 2021.
