After years of Republican inaction and obstruction in Congress,
I’m incredibly proud of what Democrats have been able to
accomplish so far with our majorities alongside President Biden.

The American Rescue Plan is the most significant law passed in
the United States in decades — it’s already helping millions of
American families recover, and it’s just the beginning of
Democrats’ efforts to build America back better.

John, the crises
facing our nation today demand bold action, and Democrats are
finally in a position to deliver the progress that the American
people are demanding thanks to your grassroots efforts.

Recent gun violence in Atlanta and Boulder have been stark
reminders of how much work we have in front of us. The tragic
shooting of young children like Elijah La France in Miami and
Randall Jones here in CT breaks my heart and makes me even more
determined to finally turn common sense gun safety measures like
universal background checks into law. It will get done thanks to
Democrats’ narrow majorities.

Addressing gun violence and the climate crisis, lifting our
country out of this pandemic and rebuilding our nation’s
crumbling infrastructure, expanding and protecting voting rights
— all of this is now finally possible because Democrats like you
have fought to make it possible.
