So, John, I'll be the first one to admit that this wasn't the email I *hoped* to send you with just a few hours to go before our end-of-month deadline.
But I've gotta be totally honest.
We're still a few contributions shy of where we need to be in order to reach our end-of-month goal of 150,000 grassroots donations since our campaign began. Will you chip in $5 to make sure we can get there before time runs out?
Here's the good news about where our campaign stands: Thanks to you and this entire team, we actually have the most grassroots donors of any candidate, Democrat or Republican, running for this Senate seat.
But here's the *slightly* less good news: If we slow down our pace at all, we risk the political media and reporters questioning whether our campaign is losing momentum. With so many candidates now in this crowded, historically-competitive race, we've simply got to set ourselves apart from the crowd. And that'll take a lot of work.
The clearest way we can send a strong, resounding, and undeniable message that John is the candidate who has what it takes to flip this seat blue is to reach this huge milestone of 150,000 grassroots donations. If even 10% of people reading this email right now decided to chip in, we could get there before midnight. So, John, are you in?
