Hi —

President Biden is in Philadelphia today to build up support for his transformational infrastructure plan that will deliver jobs, environmental justice, and a clean energy future!

This means all eyes are going to be on Pennsylvania. Normally we’d be there with signs and t-shirts to demonstrate how excited Pennsylvanians are about this plan. We can’t do that safely with COVID, but this is too important a moment to let pass us by without raising our voices in support of this ambitious economic recovery package that will ensure no community gets left behind.

That’s why instead of organizing an in-person rally, we’re taking to social media for a Twitterstorm to demonstrate that Pennsylvanians stand with the President and support the American Jobs Plan!

You can participate in our Twitterstorm starting at 2:30 TODAY by sharing a tweet we’ve already drafted for you! And if you’d like to write your own, no problem — just make sure to use the hashtag #ActOnClimatePA.

Twitterstorms are a perfect way to make a huge splash in a short amount of time. If enough folks participate and help get our hashtag trending, our collective posts could help us reach hundreds of thousands of people and demonstrate to the world that Pennsylvania is all-in for this once-in-a-generation opportunity to transform our society by centering our recovery around clean energy, justice, and jobs!

For decades, infrastructure in Pennsylvania has suffered from a systemic lack of investment. It will cost SEPTA at least $450 million to build electric charging infrastructure for future electric buses. We need federal help to pay for a massive project like this, and that’s where the American Jobs Plan comes in. With $85 billion in investments to our existing public transit systems, the plan could also advance racial equity by providing better jobs and better transportation options to underserved communities.

We simply can’t afford to pass up one of the most ambitious actions on climate change, ever. Show your support for jobs, justice, and clean energy by joining our Twitterstorm this afternoon >>

Thanks for acting on climate with us.
