Friend – my team and I just checked in on our fundraising numbers, and I’m so humbled by what I’m seeing. Hundreds of you have stepped up to become Founding Donors of my re-election campaign. There’s just a slight issue.
With only hours to spare, we’re still 133 donors short of our Founding Donor goal – and our deadline to hit this target is 11:59 p.m. We need a surge of grassroots supporters to become Founding Donors right now – and truthfully, Friend, if everybody reading this email made a donation, we’d hit that goal within minutes.
I hope you can sense my urgency here, because Senate Democrats are in an incredibly urgent situation: If we lose just a single Senate seat, we will lose control of the chamber – and with it, our ability to work with President Biden to pass bold legislation. That would mean no progress on gun safety reform. No progress on protecting our environment. No progress on making life better for Americans.
The National Republican Senatorial Committee – with Mitch McConnell at the helm – have made this seat a target. They are chomping at the bit to defeat me and retake Senate control so they can stop Democrats’ bold agenda. We cannot let that happen.
