Field Hearing in Phoenix

On Tuesday, the Committee on House Administration held a field hearing in Phoenix on voting rights and elections administration. I represented Republicans at the field hearing. State Senator Michelle Ugenti-Rita also testified before the committee on ballot harvesting. The field hearing demonstrated the real need to protect our elections from ballot harvesting.

Celebrating the Taiwan-U.S. Relationship

It was a pleasure to join former Governor Jan Brewer, Congressman Andy Biggs, Arizona Senate Majority Leader Rick Gray, Ambassador Chu, Barry Goldwater Jr., and others to commemorate late Senator Barry Goldwater and the 40th anniversary of the Taiwan Relations Act. Taiwan is an ally and special friend to the United States, and I am proud to serve on the Taiwan Caucus in Congress!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

In 2019, 6,930 women in Arizona will be diagnosed with breast cancer. Early detection and mammograms can help catch breast cancer early and increase chance of survival. For this reason, it is important that we update federal regulations on mammograms. I previously sent a letter to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) asking them to improve these regulations from 1997. Last week, the FDA responded that they are working on modernizing mammography regulations.
