John,:

Nikki Fried, the only statewide elected Democrat in Florida, made it clear that the only reason we didn't flip the state blue in 2020 is because Democrats lost support for grassroots campaigning, so in many “ways we conceded the state.”

Fried is already correcting that mistake as she prepares to take on Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

DeSantis has been climbing the ladder in Trump's list of favorites, but he hasn't gotten the national attention some of his right-wing colleagues have. Instead, he's been working in the shadows to restrict voting rights in Florida, one of the largest battleground states in the country, ahead of the 2022 election.

We know DeSantis might not be on your radar yet, John, but we have a chance to flip Florida blue this cycle with your help.

According to FiveThirtyEight and a St. Pete poll, Fried is virtually tied in the governor's race with DeSantis, and if we continue to invest in our work on the ground, we'll soon be defeating the anti-democracy governor who Trump calls the “future” of the GOP.

Nikki Fried has won statewide before, and she can flip Trump's favorite state blue next year, but while her contributions come from small-dollar grassroots donors like you, DeSantis pulled in over $6 million from “corporations and business groups who have a stake in the flurry of legislation that is currently moving through the Legislature,” according to POLITICO.

Thank you for helping us remind the GOP that grassroots power will always take on their corporate millions -- and win.
