Or something....

Think I mixed up my rhymes. Oh well. 🤷

Anyway, wanted to take one more crack at convincing you to renew your membership before our deadline at midnight tonight.

John, the work we've accomplished together is so important, but there's even more left to accomplish. We really need to keep you in the fold.

Here's the good news: a generous donor has agreed to match all gifts before our deadline!

With a $3,403 gap to close by the end of the day, that means we really only need to make up $1,701.

So click here to active the match! Turn a $50 membership renewal gift into $100, John!

By the time you finish reading this sentence, someone you know will have taken advantage of this offer and re-upped their membership for 2021. Will you join them?

Thanks, Carrie

John,

Even in a challenging political climate, your membership in our organization is making a difference! Together, we were instrumental in re-electing Gov. Roy Cooper. His vetoes — or just the threat of them — keep the worst bills from becoming law.

Now he has proposed a state budget that will protect our health, cut carbon emissions, and create good-paying jobs. Some highlights:

  • $10 million for clean energy and clean transportation projects

  • $43 million for energy efficiency improvements to schools and low-income houses

  • $65 million for flood mitigation and floodplain buyouts of homes and hog farms

The package includes funding for clean water, clean energy, climate resiliency, and more. This is what your support is making possible.

But now the fight is on to pass this funding through our anti-environment legislature so we get a budget he can sign instead of veto.

John, will you renew your NCLCV membership and continue fueling our work to hold our leaders accountable?

Your support funds our advocacy in the halls of power and our campaign to change who wields the gavel there. We fight tooth and nail to pass the right policies, let you know how your legislators voted in our annual scorecard, and then work to replace those with bad records.

If legislators continue blocking clean air and water protections, clean energy progress, redistricting reform, and voting rights expansion, we’ll need even more support for our effort to elect a pro-environment, pro-democracy legislative majority in 2022.

Your recommitment to this work creates a North Carolina that is fair and just for all, and improves our climate for this and future generations.

Thanks for your ongoing support,
Carrie
