This race will decide Senate control – but while GOP megadonors and dark money groups have millions to spend to try and buy this seat, we're running a people-powered campaign that relies on grassroots support. And unfortunately, with time running out before our crucial end-of-month deadline, we're falling incredibly short of our Blue Georgia Founding Donor goal.

So I'm personally reaching out to ask for your help today. As a kid who grew up in public housing, I know what it's like to be counted out before you even get started. But through hard work and the support of my family and community, I was able to graduate from college and went on to become the senior pastor at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s church. Now, I'm proudly serving as the first Black senator in Georgia's history.

But here's the deal: With the Senate split 50-50, Republicans need to flip only one seat to retake control – and NBC News confirms that they're coming after me as a top target for defeat.
