Dear
John,
Cooperation, not competition, is best for
Britain
To mark our relaunch,?Best for Britain has published
landmark polling showing what people in the UK really think about
working with other countries and international
organisations.??
Last month we
polled 3,000 people, and the results were enlightening.
?
79% of people want the UK to work with
international bodies to tackle climate
change.?78% to tackle the pandemic, and
76% to deal with threats from China and
Russia.?Overall,?65% thought the
globe's greatest challenges can only be solved
multilaterally.?
In other words, Britons are
inherently internationalist.?You can read our full report,
including brand new polling,
here.?A Truly Global
UK A new report by Best for Britain
We want to effectively communicate our
cutting-edge data to decision-makers.?We want to turn this data
into political action. But to do that, we need your
help.
?
Send a message to your MP with our new report and our
polling. Call on them to push for greater international
cooperation. Show them Britain wants to work with the world, and
strengthen ties with our closest ally, Europe.?
?
?
Most people intuitively understand we must work with
other nations to tackle crime, poverty, COVID and the climate
crisis.
?
Our
relaunch report, which outlines why the UK must rebuild trade with
Europe to become truly global, can be found
here.?
?
Our polling shows that 81% support
cooperating with international bodies on science and
research, rising to 91% of Conservative
voters. There is?overwhelming
support for?general international cooperation?amongst all
regions, age groups, ethnicities and political outlooks in the UK.
?
Best for Britain will fight to enact policy which reflects
what Britain wants: re-joining
European research and standards bodies, making
trade with Europe easier and cooperating with experts
around the world.?
?
We want to remind the government, and the opposition
parties, not to neglect the majority of voters who want
Britain to be world leading, not world beating. We want to
see the UK work with the EU and cooperate on climate change ahead of
COP26.
?
Don't let your MP think that Britain only wants to look inwards.
Our new data proves this is not the case. Send a message to
your MP today.
?
?
The message was loud and clear. British voters want to be
good neighbours to Europe?and good citizens of the?world.
?
Help us tell
this?message?to those in charge.?
?
Best wishes,
Cary Mitchell,? Director of Operations,?Best for
Britain
?
PS.?Send
your MP our brand new polling. Show them the majority
want the UK to cooperate with the world and Europe,
on trade, COVID, science and much more.?
