Great news, John!

President Biden just used the biggest speech of his career to demand that
Congress fix our broken political system and pass the For the People Act. 

This is a big step forward, John — but presidents of both
parties have voiced their support for democracy reform in big speeches
before — only to let it fall by the wayside in an effort to preserve the
corrupt status quo. We have to keep up the pressure.

From President Reagan to Obama, from George Bush to Bill Clinton — this
video shows that Democrats and Republicans alike have long seen the need
for our government to work for the American people, not billionaires and
special interests. 

They’ve given their speeches and dropped their sound bites, committing to
democracy reform and putting country over party to fix our broken
political system. 

And what have they done? Not enough. They’ve gone back on their word and
fallen into the same old rut — allowing lobbyists to run our government at
the expense of the American people.

It’s on us to make sure that President Biden does not fall into this same
trap, and to demand the President and the Senate actually follow through
and pass this transformational bill.
