John, Jennifer Carroll Foy is currently taking attacks from all sides. It’s clear that her campaign’s momentum continues to climb as our opponent’s momentum remains stagnant.
Jennifer is the greatest threat to the status quo and the Republican establishment. There’s a reason that Republicans are attacking her instead of her opponents -- they know that she is the one who has what it takes to win. Jennifer has spent her life serving Virginia -- as a public defender, a foster mom, and a Delegate, where she flipped her district from red to blue (while pregnant with twins!).
I can speak with full confidence that Jennifer has the momentum to win the primary AND the general. But she needs your help to combat the attacks she is getting from all directions. Donate now.
Voters in Virginia are ALREADY VOTING. We can make history this June by electing our nation’s first Black woman governor -- a woman who has blazed trails and shattered glass ceilings her entire life: as one of the first women to graduate from Virginia Military Institute and as the first public defender elected to Virginia’s House of Delegates.
EMILY’s List isn’t alone in endorsing Jennifer. They join a long list of endorsers like Congresswoman Katie Porter, Congresswoman Lauren Underwood, and civil rights leader Ben Jealous.
Tomorrow night is the FIRST budget deadline we are facing since the start of voting statewide. Donate now to help share Jennifer’s story with Virginians.
Thanks,
Greta
Jennifer Carroll Foy was born and raised in Petersburg. In 2017, she flipped a Republican district as a first-time candidate pregnant with twins. During her time as Delegate, Jennifer championed the ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment, helped expand Medicaid to 400,000 Virginians, and advocated for the Commonwealth’s most vulnerable communities.
She has a career of public service and it started long before 2017. As a public defender, Jennifer helped give a voice to the often voiceless — children, people suffering from addiction, those experiencing homelessness, those with mental illness, and the poor.
Now she’s running to be the first woman elected Governor of Virginia and serve as the first Black woman to be governor nationwide.
Help her make history. Donate now.
