How you can help children in Yemen, and around the world

Hi Friend,
I want to share with you the story of our patient named Hamdi—a patient we've treated for severe malnutrition more than once, and through more than one humanitarian crisis. He is only two years old.
Years of violent conflict in Yemen have decimated the country’s economy. Many people in Yemen might not eat at all if it weren’t for humanitarian assistance. The first time we treated him, Hamdi was five months old. He returned in early 2021, severely malnourished and suffering from pneumonia. We know, from the thousands of patients that we treat at the Abs inpatient therapeutic feeding center every year, that Hamdi’s story is unfortunately a common one.
Earlier this year, we saw a troubling spike in cases of severe malnutrition among children in Abs. Between a surge in COVID-19 cases, malnutrition, and incidents of violence against civilians, children who have never known a life without war are facing even more peril.
