Wine on the Fox returns to Hudson Crossing Park this Saturday and Sunday! Limited tickets are on sale until 8 p.m. Friday or until sold out, whichever happens first. Tickets are sold in pods of 4-6 guests, and your ticket gets you a dedicated spot in the park, live entertainment, a bottle of wine, wine key and extras for your group. This week, the Village announced that Rep. Bill Foster and Rep. Lauren Underwood have both selected the intersection of Wolf's Crossing and Douglas Road for funding in an upcoming transportation funding bill. If the bill passes, the project, which includes a roundabout and other improvements, would be fully funded, allowing construction to move forward.?
The announcements came the same week as the Village announced an emergency road closure along another segment of Wolf's Crossing to investigate deteriorating conditions on a culvert. Read all the week's Wolf's Crossing updates on our News page.
On Saturday, representatives from the Village of Oswego public works and police departments, the Oswego Fire Protection District, the Kendall County Sheriff?s Office, and the Race family gathered at Oswego Village Hall to honor former Village trustee and volunteer firefighter Donald W. Oswego Public Works crews will collect brush three times this growing season, with the first collection beginning Monday, May 3, in Zone A and Monday, May 10, in Zone B. Have your brush neatly stacked at the curb by 7 a.m. Monday of your collection week.?

The Village of Oswego begins its annual efforts to minimize mosquito populations and help reduce the risk of West Nile Virus for its residents with backyard catch basin treatments starting Friday, April 30.?Street catch basin treatment begins the week of June 14, weather permitting. Residents who have questions about the Village?s mosquito control program, want to report standing water or nuisance mosquito levels, or would like to sign-up for advance notifications of scheduled treatments are encouraged to contact our mosquito contractor Clarke through its online?Resident Hotline.

The Oswego Community Yard Sale will be held Friday and Saturday, June 4 and 5, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and it?s a great opportunity to clean out basements and attics in an eco-friendly way by reusing and recycling unused items.?
The cost to participate is $7 plus applicable online fees to help cover the cost of advertising the sale. Those who register will get their sales advertised on the Village of Oswego?s website, on the Village?s social media pages, and in a full-page ad in the Oswego Ledger on Thursday, June 3.
