Team: Earlier this week the U.S. Census Bureau released reapportionment data, highlighting how the 435 seats in the House of Representatives would be adjusted to reflect state populations. Unfortunately, the results were more seats for Republican-leaning states. And team, these adjustments will last throughout the next decade. Here’s a breakdown: Texas gained 2 seats and Colorado, Florida, Montana, North Carolina and Oregon all gained 1. California, Illinois, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia all lost 1 seat in the process. So what does this mean for Remedy PAC and the rest of Democrats? It means Republicans only need to win FIVE seats more than they did in 2020 to win back the House majority. The margins of our majority are more narrow than ever. That means we need to kickstart our fundraising ahead of the 2022 election cycle — starting NOW. Will you chip in $10 or more before tomorrow’s end-of-month deadline to help us keep our majority?
Not only does this mean we have a harder fight ahead of us to unseat corrupt GOP officials like Marco Rubio and Ron Johnson — it means we have to fight even harder to keep Democrats in the seats they currently hold.
