Why is it vital that you contribute now? Because the barriers to abortion continue to grow:

• Mandatory Delays: 26 states require those seeking abortion care to wait up to three days after their initial — often biased — counseling before they can access the care they need.
• Forced Ultrasounds: 14 states require patients to undergo a forced ultrasound before abortion care can be provided.
• Increasingly Limited Access to Care: Five states have only one abortion clinic in the entire state, making access to abortion that much more challenging as people have to travel great distances to get the care they need.
• Early Bans: 13 states have passed laws to ban abortion care before most people actually know they are pregnant. These laws are not in effect, but they represent a real threat to Roe v. Wade.
• Restrictions on Medication Abortion Care: In 2021, more than a dozen bills have been introduced in 12 states to limit access to or entirely ban medication abortion care.

And just this week, Governor Ducey of Arizona signed into law a sweeping bill that — among many other restrictions — threatens doctors who provide abortion care with jail time and could criminalize people who seek abortion care.
