This is a pivotal moment for our climate, and we have leaders in our president and governor who are meeting that moment.

Last week, President Biden brought the world together to set climate goals that will save our planet. Last night, he told Congress to pass his American Jobs Plan to create the jobs to power our clean energy future.

Monday night, Gov. Cooper gave his State of the State address and urged the General Assembly to enact his budget proposal to keep every North Carolinian safe from pollution and climate disaster.

But despite President Biden's and Gov. Cooper's vision and commitment, we lack a pro-environment legislative majority in Raleigh and a durable congressional majority in Washington that will act boldly to fulfill what our people want and need.

That's why we need your renewed membership commitment today. This moment cannot pass, and we need every hand on deck to push our agenda forward...and if it doesn't pass, to replace the legislators who stand in our way at the ballot box next year.
