The old rules of our political system - the business-as-usual of our elections - just aren't working.

Outside interests flood local elections with dark money to ensure that their voices are the loudest and that their needs set the agenda, not just during the campaign, but in the halls of Congress as well.

It's time to tear that system down, and build something better. And I say we start right now, with this race.

That's why I'm calling on my primary opponents to take the People's Pledge, to make sure that Massachusetts's working families, not outside special interests - drive this election.

Add your name to my petition calling on everyone in the 2020 Senate primary to take the People's Pledge!

Here's how the People's Pledge works:

* All candidates in the race pledge to reject any outside spending on their behalf.

* If any outside group spends money to promote a candidate or attack their opponent, then that candidate's campaign must donate 50 cents on the dollar to a predetermined charity.

Building a better system doesn't start when the election's over. Our work starts right now, and it requires candidates to do what's best for families and for our country, not ourselves.

The People's Pledge is a crucial step in our mission. It's simple. It's effective. And it's time.

Join me in calling on all candidates in this race to take the People's Pledge!

It's our time now,

Joe
