Each year, the Texas Campaign joins forces with local community partners to host regional adolescent health summits. Programming is targeted toward youth-serving professionals in those specific communities. Scholarships & CEs are available for both events.

Advocacy is one of the core strategies we use to empower young people to make healthy choices for their bodies and their futures. Through advocacy, we can shape the way that teens can access the information and the healthcare they need, creating an enormous potential for change. Advocacy is a critical component of our work - but in organizations like ours it largely goes unfunded.

Each month, the Texas Campaign interviews young adults or the adults who serve them about their experience with sex education or teen pregnancy. The impact of these stories helps inform our work across the state.

This month, we interviewed Marlen Ramirez. Marlen is a former teen mother and has since launched a teen pregnancy prevention program in the border city of Eagle Pass.

The Texas Campaign seeks a videographer to capture three 2-minute testimonials. They will be documentary or interview style and relay the experiences of folks with lived experience, who work in the field, or who are otherwise invested in the work. The Texas Campaign is excited to announce Alondra Medina as our new Community Engagement Coordinator!  Alondra (She/Her/Ella) is a strong Mexican-American reproductive health and LGBTQ+ advocate. As a previous university lead mentor and sexual reproductive health intern, she has expanded on her desire to help others. Alondra is pursuing a Masters of Science in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling at UTRGV as she has become firmly committed to bringing change to her community.
