Dear John,

Presidents matter. That’s my simple two-word summary of the first 100 days of the Biden-Harris administration.

We’ve transitioned from a president who denied science, called climate change a hoax and directed his administration to undermine years of hard-won environmental progress.

And we now have a president who campaigned on the most ambitious climate platform of any major party candidate in history and has spent his first 100 days getting America back in the climate progress game.

It’s inspiring. It’s exciting. But it’s just a start.

How we seize on this window of opportunity depends on what we all do together over the next few weeks and months. We may never get a better chance in our lives to make transformational progress.

Three things you can do right now to build on this momentum:

1. Read and share our blog post highlighting President Biden’s 5 most important climate actions in his first 100 days and the 4 things his administration can do next. [link removed]

2. Take action on our Go Bold America! Petition supporting the key policies to drive America toward net zero climate pollution by mid-century -- a critical milestone to prevent climate catastrophe. [link removed]

3. Forward this email to everyone you know who cares about climate change and the need to take urgent action to slash emissions and advance America’s clean energy future.

President Biden declared last night that “America is rising anew.” That we are “Choosing hope over fear. Truth over lies. Light over darkness.”

I want to believe that is true. And I think with the determined support of all forward-leaning Americans we can seize this small window of change to unleash clean energy innovation and prevent climate chaos.

But we know progress is never fated. It always depends on engaged advocates stepping up to demand action. Advocates like you and me. Together, we are advancing the policies and accelerating progress to ensure a safer, cleaner, more sustainable and equitable future.

Your voice matters in this fight. And I urge you to take the three actions suggested above to help advance progress.

These are exciting and momentous times. What we all do together in the coming days, weeks and months will determine the fate of our planet and our living world.

Please share your voice and your power to engage your friends and family to help make it clear that climate and clean energy progress means millions of good jobs. It’s the greatest win-win opportunity of my lifetime, one you can help build.

Thanks for your advocacy and support,

Sam Parry
