Just a quick email to say a huge thank you for all the passionate support we've received for our Radical Compassion campaign.

This week nominations for the West Midlands Metro-Mayor closed and I’m absolutely honoured to to report that

- Trade unions including the GMB, USDAW and Community all decided to nominate me, along with…

- Grassroots members in the Co-operative Party, the Socialist Health Association and the West Midlands Fabian Society all voted to endorse and nominate me.

- In addition, I’m very proud that grassroots campaigning socialist societies championing diversity in our party including Labour Campaign for International Development, the Labour Party Irish Society and Chinese for Labour have also decided to nominate me.

- I know that most Constituency parties didn’t have the time to organise nominations, but of those that did I am really proud that Wolverhampton South East CLP and Birmingham Selly Oak CLP both voted to nominate me.

As the nights are drawing in and the temperatures fall, we’re stepping up our work collecting for food-banks, campaigning for the Real Living Wage, and supporting outreach for our homeless neighbours.

So, if you’d like to join in some of our sessions, or run an event - please just drop me a line!
