Charles Booker is exploring a Senate challenge against Kentucky Senate insurrectionist Rand Paul -- and we want to tell you why Paul should be worried.
Progressives have been gaining traction in supposed “red” states like Kentucky. Charles Booker, who previously served as the youngest Black state lawmaker in Kentucky, has a bold progressive vision that includes criminal justice reform, affordable health care, and a Green New Deal.
Booker is an unapologetic progressive -- and he came within 2 points of challenging Mitch McConnell in 2020.
We know the people of Kentucky, and Americans nationwide, deserve better than a Senator who forced a vote to throw out Trump's impeachment trial when our country needed a show of accountability the most.
Allowing Rand Paul to stay in the Senate and continue Trump's Big Lie would be a dangerous mistake, believe us. So we're going to do everything we can to replace this Trump wannabe with a progressive champion.
This is going to be an underdog race -- especially since Rand Paul has already secured Trump's endorsement and all the millions of dollars that come with it.
But we know Charles Booker can win -- after all, Democrat Andy Beshear won the Kentucky governor's statewide race in 2019. And the progressive movement is picking up thanks to people like you who know it's time for a change to the status quo.
