We’ve got less than 36 hours to go before our end-of-month fundraising deadline, and we wanted to share with you a bit about why these deadlines — and meeting our goals for them — are so important.
We’ll be direct: as it stands, we’re short of our goal for April.
Hitting our marks each month is essential — it not only allows us to continue organizing and building momentum for bold progressive policies like the Green New Deal and Medicare for All — it also keeps us from having to play catch-up later on down the road.
More importantly, it allows Ed to focus on strengthening our movement and keeping up the important work we need him to be doing — rather than worrying about whether or not we have the resources required to win.
We have been a people-powered, grassroots movement right from the start. What that means is instead of relying on dark money or checks from fossil fuel lobbyists, Ed counts on lots and lots of people chipping in small-dollar donations when and if they can.
That all adds up quickly though, and it’s why we’re asking you today:
It’s support like yours that’s the backbone of our campaign. Thank you for everything you do — it means so much to Ed to be in trenches alongside you.
