In just a moment, I am going to ask you to make a contribution to VoteVets before their end-of-month fundraising drive ends tomorrow at midnight tonight. Please give me a chance to explain why this request — especially today — is so important.

Throughout my entire professional life, I served with foreign soldiers and armies — including Iraqis. And in every instance, the American military's word was always trusted. I deeply regret the dishonor Donald Trump has put our nation through these past four years.

But now we have started a new chapter — with Joe Biden, and a Democratic House and Senate — where we must hold Traitor Trump and his loyal sycophants accountable, where we must restore our place in the world, and where we must repair the damage done to our country.

VoteVets has a critical role to play in these fights. The voices of veterans and military families are crucial. And there are few outside entities that spend more on electoral and issue campaigns. So today, I am asking:

Can you make a contribution to VoteVets before their end-of-month fundraising deadline comes to a close at midnight tomorrow? There is no more important time to give to help repair our country than right now.

For those of us who took the oath, we believe the Constitution and the rule of law must be protected, at all costs. We put our lives on the line for it. Now it’s our job to ensure we hold Trump and his fellow traitors accountable, and we get to work repairing the damage they’ve done to our country.
