My good friend Adam Schiff asked me to reach out. In just a moment, I am going to ask you to make a contribution to our campaign to stop the Republican recall here in California.
Please give me a chance to explain why this request — especially today — is so important.
A short while ago, the California Secretary of State released numbers indicating the Republican recall likely has the signatures it needs to qualify for the ballot. We also recently learned that Caitlyn Jenner is getting into the race with the help of Donald Trump's campaign manager.
Like I said at the start, I am not going to take this fight lying down. There is too much at stake, and I intend to win. But I cannot do that alone.
So what we want to do in these next 48 hours is generate a HUGE number of individual donations to our campaign to stop the recall. It is not about how much money we raise, but rather how many people are chipping into our fight.
So I am asking:

If these right-wing recall leaders are successful, it would mean risking the progress we are making fighting the pandemic. It would mean turning the state over to anti-mask, anti-vaxx, pro-Trump extremists.
