Corporate media’s inability to contextualize numbers regarding breakthrough Covid infections in patients who received the vaccine contributes to more public panic. Neil deMause pointed out how the latest hysteria—and the previous fear regarding the Johnson & Johnson vaccine recall—are products of the press’s improper and inconsistent framing of numbers and statistics.

Media’s Top Meaning for ‘Proxy’ Is ‘Iranian Ally’
In international politics, the term “proxy” broadly delegitimizes countries and movements by implying they are pawns of foreign interests. According to US media, “proxy” refers exponentially more to the allies of Iran than to those of the US. Gregory Shupak shed light on this double standard that condemns Iranian and not US involvement in the Middle East.

Truth-telling like this doesn’t come free. FAIR needs to pay its writers and staff, facilitate in-depth research, pay rent and utilities, keep our radio show on the air, pay our landlord and more. We want to keep delivering valuable information to our readers and CounterSpin listeners.
