The end of Q1 brought big news when everyone’s finances went public. When the numbers were added up, national Republican groups took in record-breaking hauls.

We know that these groups, including the National Republican Campaign Committee (NRCC), are on their way to CT-05 to bombard Jahana – they have already started testing their messages to see if they can get anything to stick.

But, as always, we’re continuing to focus on truth and facts, and we’re building a campaign that’s strong enough to weather the attacks. We are going to keep Jahana in Washington fighting for us.

CT-05 is a frontline district – Connecticut’s only toss-up district – and we know for a fact the NRCC and other big money groups are already working hard to unseat Jahana. Jahana has continued to work hard for us in Washington, playing an instrumental role in passing the American Rescue Plan to deliver $1,400 survival payments and expand the Child Tax Credit to lift nearly half of children out of poverty.

Then, she voted to pass the Bipartisan Background Checks Act of 2021, the For the People Act, the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act, the PRO Act to protect the rights of workers, the American Dream and Promise Act, the Farm Workforce Modernization Act… and so much more, including bringing over $75 million back to Connecticut to ensure SNAP funding for families across the state.

We’re building a comprehensive campaign, John, but in order to reach every corner of our 41-town district, we have to expand our outreach operations early!
