I mean what I said in my response to President Biden’s first address to Congress. Every word.

From cotton to Congress in one lifetime. That’s the story of my family and my American Dream. And that’s why I believe, with the right decisions, the next century can be better than the last.

I’m so thankful to have been given the opportunity to share our positive and hopeful message with the American people.

The very foundation of our country is at stake and we must work together to ensure that future generations have the opportunities to succeed — just like I did.

John, will you join me in fighting for our shared values, for the country we love and to protect the American dream?

The issues we are facing are about the promise of America.

It’s about the American people -- our challenges and heartbreaks, hopes and dreams. It’s about how we respond when tackling critical issues facing our country. John, do we want a society that breeds success or one that cancels it?

This country has given so much to me and I want to ensure that future generations are given the same opportunities to succeed.

There are millions of families like mine across this nation, full of potential, seeking to live the American Dream.
