Hi friend --
Today officially marks 100 days into Joe Biden's presidency.
In 2020, we worked and worked until we couldn't anymore to get progressive Democrats elected to office. And it paid off. We elected not only President Biden but majorities in both houses of Congress.
It's worth taking a look at what the President and Democratic leadership have built so far:
- A $1.9 trillion COVID relief bill to help heal a sick nation, which included $1400 direct relief checks for most Americans
- More than 50% of adults are at least partially vaccinated against COVID-19 (3 million shots per day!)
- A multi-trillion dollar infrastructure plan in the works to rebuild the American economy
- 41 executive orders on key progressive policies, such as revoking the permit for the Keystone XL pipeline
President Biden is already garnering comparisons to Franklin Delano Roosevelt for the transformative nature of his agenda. This is just the beginning.
But if we want this work to continue and these progressive policies to stay in place, we need to make sure Republicans don't take back the majority in 2022. Radical Republicans are already raising cash and laying plans to recapture Congress in the midterm elections. We cannot let this happen.
