We started the month by gathering with thousands of Canadians virtually for a one-of-a-kind Liberal National Convention (our largest policy convention ever), focused on the hope and hard work that we’ll need to keep building a better, stronger, and more resilient Canada.
You’re making real progress possible, friend – and I’m excited for the work that’s still to come.
We started the month by gathering with thousands of Canadians virtually for a one-of-a-kind Liberal National Convention (our largest policy convention ever), focused on the hope and hard work that we’ll need to keep building a better, stronger, and more resilient Canada.
And as our government continues to do everything it takes to keep Canadians healthy and safe, we are working around the clock to ensure that no one is left behind. As Chrystia Freeland said, last week’s 2021 Budget is a real plan to finish the fight against COVID, ensure we have a robust economic recovery, and invest in jobs and growth for Canadians.
Budget 2021 lays out our path forward, and we’re taking bold action together to build a future that will be healthier, more equitable, and more prosperous.
And just last Thursday, Justin Trudeau announced that we are accelerating our work to fight climate change, and reducing our greenhouse gas emissions by 40% to 45% by 2030. Friend, this is ambitious, but necessary and achievable. Climate change is real, and Canadians know that if you don’t have real plan to protect the environment, you don’t have a plan for the economy.
There is a lot of work ahead of us, friend – and the first step to making our progress possible is reaching our end-of-April online fundraising goal by tomorrow’s midnight deadline. That’s why I’m hoping you’ll consider joining the 2,476 Canadians who have already chipped in to show their support for the work that we’re doing together, and help our movement reach this crucial goal.
If you’re able, chip in now to support Justin Trudeau and our Liberal team’s work to keep Canada moving forward.
