We learned that Trump-supporting RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel and twice-failed Senate candidate John James are strongly considering a run for governor. And these candidates tell us two important things about the 2022 race:

The Good News: Michiganders have already rejected John James TWICE. Governor Whitmer’s strong record from leading us out of the pandemic to improving our roads and bridges to helping our economy recover is scaring off early GOP entries to the race for governor.

The Bad News: John James and Ronna McDaniel will have the full backing of the entire GOP establishment, and we know that Donald Trump will reward them both for their loyalty to him.

We’re coming up on our first major end-of-month deadline since the news dropped about these potential Republican candidates, and we need to show that Team Whitmer has what it takes to win. Can we count on you to chip in $5 before the day ends?
