I have an important request for you today. I am going to ask you to make a donation to our grassroots campaign. But before I ask, I first want to express my gratitude for all you have done to get us here. Thanks to your efforts last year, we were the only campaign to flip a congressional district from red to blue. I am amazed by the grassroots team we have built and the power we have to improve people’s lives. But we always knew 2020 was just the beginning. Now, the real work begins, and it could not come at a more urgent time. We must deliver change for the people -- that is why I hit the ground running in Congress. I was the first new member of this Congress to pass a bill into law. That bill -- the bipartisan PPP Extension Act -- extended benefits to small businesses that are still hurting due to the pandemic. And I am just getting started. In Congress, I am fighting for affordable health care, an economic recovery that puts workers and small businesses first, and investment in our district's world-class public education system and transportation infrastructure. But National Republicans have made clear they are determined to stop this progress and take back this seat. And they are building the war chest to do it. The House Republican campaign arm just announced they raised over $30 million in the first quarter of 2021 -- nearly $20 million last month alone! Team, we must fight back, but we are falling behind. That is why yesterday we launched our Rapid Response Fund. We set a goal of raising $15,000 by the end of the month, but we are still $10,142 short with less than a day to go. That is why your support is so critical and why I have to ask: If you are able, will you make a contribution to our Rapid Response Fund right now to help us get back on track?
