Thank you to everyone who celebrated Earth Day with us this year!
Your contribution fuels our fight against corporate and government
corruption and helps bring about the clean energy future Ohioans
deserve.
If you haven’t given yet, you can still get
involved.
We're only
$2,767 from our goal.
I also wanted to share some exciting news: On Monday, Ohio Citizen
Action and Ohio Consumers Power Alliance joined a diverse group of advocates to launch the Ohio Climate Justice Fund (OCJF),
an emerging initiative that will invest in Black, Indigenous, and
People of Color organizations in Ohio.
Efforts to advance a clean energy future have historically excluded
diverse voices, and nonprofit organizations led by people of color
receive only a fraction of the philanthropic investment that White-led
organizations receive.
Applications are open to organizations across Ohio that are
led and/or governed by Black, Indigenous, and leaders of color. The
Fund will award one-time grants between $15,000-$30,000. If you know
of any groups who should apply, please forward them to this site:
https://www.poweracleanfuture.org/grant-application
and let them know applications are due May 19, 2021.
With sincere gratitude from everyone at Ohio
Citizen Action,
Rachael Belz, Ohio Citizen Action Executive Director http://www.ohiocitizen.org/
P.S. Thank you to everyone who attended my Earth Day event
with Carla Walker. If you were unable to make it, here is the
