In the last few years American democracy has come under attack in ways we haven't seen in generations. Just in the first few months of 2021, state legislators have introduced more than 300 bills to restrict voting rights. It's a travesty -- and Amy is doing something about it.
As Chair of the Senate Rules Committee, Amy is making the For the People Act one of her top priorities. Last month she oversaw the bill's first-ever hearing in the Senate and she is continuing to work with her colleagues to push for passage of this critical legislation.

The bill will prohibit many of the state-level efforts to restrict voting rights, end the nefarious practice of congressional gerrymandering and, importantly, close up the floodgates opened by Supreme Court decisions like Citizens United.
