Tonight, President Biden will deliver his first joint address to
Congress and discuss the historic progress made in his first 100
days — from the 230 million vaccine doses administered to the
$2.7 trillion rescue package that has rescued American families,
schools, and businesses.
We’ll also hear about his new plan to invest more than $2
trillion to repair the United States’ crumbling infrastructure
while creating millions of good-paying union jobs.
This would be the biggest American jobs program since World War
II, and it would give Connecticut funding to repair and modernize our
railways, Interstates, bridges, airports, and more.
John, the Connecticut
Democratic Party wants to know what you think about this historic
investment — do you have a minute to answer a few questions about
the Biden administration’s infrastructure and jobs plan before
tonight’s joint address?

America’s infrastructure has been neglected for far too long, and
President Biden’s plan would be transformative — especially here
in Connecticut.
As reported by the Hartford Courant, “almost 70% of Connecticut’s
bridges are over 50 years old… the fourth-highest percentage in
the U.S.” according to the president of the Connecticut
Construction Industries Association.
The American Jobs Plan aims to finally address this by investing
$2 trillion over a decade to repair our bridges, roads, and water
systems along with expanding access to affordable broadband to
every American, tackling the climate crisis by transitioning to
clean energy and infrastructure, and modernizing public transit.
All while creating millions of good-paying union jobs — John, do you support
President Biden’s infrastructure plan? Let us know here before
tonight’s joint address:
