Friends — I’m about to join my daughter Yvette Clarke as her guest for the first-ever virtual address to Congress to celebrate the Biden Administration’s first 100 days. Democrats in Washington have accomplished so much in this short time. While they took office on the heels of an insurrection and in the midst of an impeachment, President Biden and Vice President Harris have accomplished a significant part of their agenda in their first 100 days, and I’m sure it’s only up from here. I also applaud the spirit of innovation and perseverance that led us here, to the first-ever virtual address to Congress. This is the kind of forward-thinking that I am proud to see in our party. In just 100 days, the Biden Administration along with Democrats in the House have: ✅ passed trillions of dollars in COVID relief, vaccinated 40% of Americans, and put relief money directly into your pocket ✅ rejoined the Paris Climate Agreement and outlined a bold proposal that will make America a world leader on climate change ✅ took bold action on police brutality, including passing the George Floyd Justice In Policing Act in the House. I know Yvette is fired up to continue working with the Administration to help find pathways to citizenship for undocumented immigrants, as well as continuing to work with the Administration on ensuring cybersecurity is a critical component of rebuilding America’s infrastructure post-COVID.
Honored to have front-row seat to history, Dr. Una Clarke
