Hi friends -- reaching out quickly before Friday's end-of-month deadline. I thought 2021 was going to be a quiet year, but that hasn't been the case. Here's why:
- Disinformation is on the rise, and it's hitting the Latinx community hard.
- Voter suppression bills are cropping up across the country (361 bills have been introduced!).
- The For the People Act, a once-in-a-generation bill that would reform our elections and strengthen our democracy, is being blocked in the Senate.
No rest for Voto Latino! However, fighting all these battles will take more resources than we planned for. That's why we're setting an ambitious $30,000 end-of-month goal. I know times are tough for a lot of folks, but if you can pitch in to help us get there it will make a big difference in helping to register more Latinx voters, fight disinformation, and win elections.
