I am full of hope, friends.
Even in the midst of this devastating pandemic, economic uncertainty, and our country’s reckoning with systemic racism, I have hope for the future our movement is building together.
A future where no one goes without human rights like housing, healthcare, food, or clean air and water — so everyone has a real shot at the American Dream.
That future may seem far off or even impossible. But I’m a refugee and a first-generation college graduate who has been elected to Congress twice, despite being up against millions in spending from Republican mega-donors. I know firsthand that you get what you organize for.
So we can’t let up for a second in our organizing work, election year or not.
As our campaign faces our $100,000 end-of-month deadline in two days, I’m hoping you can help us keep up our organizing efforts. Our team is hiring canvassers to knock every door in the district, calling voters to change hearts and minds on progressive policies like Medicare for All, and investing in digital ads so I can stay focused on fighting for progress.
Your donations are critical in powering that work.
Will you chip in $5 for the first time to help us meet our end-of-month goal so we can continue organizing for progress?
The policies we dream of making a reality — like Medicare for All, canceling every penny of student debt, and a $15 minimum wage — are only as strong as the movement that’s fighting for them. But if we keep up our momentum, we can and will see bold, transformative change.
Thank you,
Ilhan Omar
